As I write this I am looking out the window at the much needed rain. While I would like to take the dog out for a walk, I really don’t mind staying in due to the wet weather. This rainfall is long overdue, and only a matter of a couple of weeks ago the Comox Lake Reservoir was at an all time low in its 43 years of recorded history.
The past few days have seen a noticeable amount of rain fall, and while it is far from what we truly need, it is enough to avoid stage 3 water restrictions. The forecast, according to the weather network, shows several days or rain over the next week.
The weekend may not be one to spend hiking or sitting down on the beach, but at least at the end of the day there is plenty of water to drink.
