While there still remains some controversy over the proposed regional hospital, Timberwest has stepped in and donated 40 acres of land in the Dove Creek area for the site.

The exact site of the new hospital is still undecided, but after development it is expected that adjacent lands will increase considerable in value, giving Timberwest the opportunity to sell the land for future developments. The donation of the 40 acres will save taxpayers and the health authority the expense of buying an appropriate site.

Formal government approval will need to be given before the controversial hospital can begin construction, however, forward progress has been made. Construction is expected to begin no earlier than early 2008.
