Free Saturday Swims Sponsored by Canadian Western Bank at the CVRD’s Aquatic Centre This Summer.

There will be ample opportunity to cool off this summer as free swimming will be offered Saturday afternoons at the Comox Valley Regional District’s (CVRD) aquatic centre, thanks to the continued sponsorship of Canadian Western Bank.

The free swims will begin on Saturday, July 4, and run through to Saturday, August 8, from 1-4: 30 p.m. There will be no free swim on the long weekend, Saturday, August 1. Everyone is welcome on a first-come, first-served basis, restricted only by pool load capacity. The wave pool, slides, sauna and hot tub will be open, as well as the fitness centre.

“This is a great way to have fun with friends and family, spending time together in a healthy, active way,” said Jennifer Zbinden, manager of recreation services. “We value the continued support from Canadian Western Bank as they recognize the benefits of health, wellness and community spirit which fits with our goal of bringing people to our facilities who may not otherwise have the chance. This is also a way of giving back to our regular patrons.”
