Coupon Submission FAQDo you have some questions about how our coupons work? Send us an email with your question, we’ll respond to you right away, and post your question and answer on this page for others!
Q: How is the order of the coupons determined on the coupons page?
A: Currently coupons are ranked based on a combination of value to the consumer, and overall consumer approval. We take into consideration the coupon dollar value, the coupon percentage of savings value, and the number of “likes” on Facebook.
With this in mind there are three ways you can increase the ranking of your coupon.
1.) Increase the dollar value of the coupon
2.) Increase the savings percentage of the coupon
3.) Convince your friends and family to visit our coupon page and click the “like” button associated with your coupon.
Q: Why are you allowing businesses to post coupons for free?
A: The answer is simple, to help build things up quickly. We admit, traffic to the coupon section will be slow at first, and will grow over time. Advertisers are unlikely to pay for a coupon placement if they will not get any results. Results can only come, if coupons are placed and this section develops a positive reputation. Kind of a catch 22. By offering free placement, this will allow advertisers to post a coupon at zero risk. In turn our benefit comes from helping build the traffic to the coupon section. The return may be low at first, but the cost is zero, hence the ROI is actually quite high.
Q: Will you ever start charging for Coupon placement?
A: If the coupon section of the site grows considerably, then we will have to find a way to generate income to recoup our costs. This would likely be in a flat rate for coupon placement on either a monthly or annual basis. We will only start charging for placement once we feel the traffic to the coupon section has grown enough that advertisers could still benefit from a paid submission.
Q: How much will you charge advertisers when submission stops being free?
A: The cost for coupon submission will be based on supply/demand. At this point there is no way to determine what this will be.
