Comox has a thriving downtown offering shops to suit just about everyone. With panoramic views of Comox Harbour and the Comox Glacier, it is certainly one of the most beautiful towns in the Comox Valley.

While there is a downtown shopping area, and some scattered commercial and light industrial, Comox consists primarily of residential family neighborhoods, and well maintained parks. Since the Comox Airport expanded its designation into an International Airport along with its extensive renovations, Comox, has grown considerable along with a strong boost to tourism.

The population of Comox is approximately 13,627 according to the 2011 census. Located to the North East of Courtenay, Comox is a thriving town, home to the annual Filberg Festival and Comox Nautical Days.
