Comox Valley Newspapers

The Comox Valley has one major newspaper published twice weekly, and one smaller publication published on every second Tuesday.

 

Comox Valley Record

Established in 1987 the Comox Valley Record is the Valleys longest standing major newspaper since the old “Free Press” closed its doors in 1994. Part of Black Press, the Comox Valley Record comes out twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

19 Wing Comox Totem Times

The Totem Times is the longest running newspaper in the Comox Valley, and is distributed for free. Established in 1960, the Totem Times has been dedicated to keeping 19 Wing Comox informed.  Published every second Tuesday, the Totem Times is delivered around the base and can be found in a variety of local businesses.

Comox Valley Echo

(Closed April 2017)

The Comox Valley Echo, part of the Canada.com Network was released twice weekly on Tuesdays and Fridays. When the “Comox District Free Press” closed in 1994, many former “Free Press” Employees founded the Echo the following year in 1995.

In April of 2017 The Comox Valley Echo published its last edition, merging with the Comox Valley Record, and bringing the Comox Valley down to one main newspaper
