Popular Comox Valley Kayak Launch Sites
Courtenay River
- Courtenay Airpark
Turn onto 20th from Cliffe Ave. You can’t miss it. The Courtenay Airpark launch will put you into the river. The water is slow moving here. From this launch you can paddle up the river to Lewis Park, and depending on the tides and your paddling stamina, also enter the Tsolumn river. The first video below is from just up stream of Lewis Park. - Simms Millennium Park
Head over the 5th Street Bridge and pull into the lot on the right. (Note: You will be launching off of a doc in this location). This will put you into the river just downstream from Lewis Park. - Comox Marina
A great launch point to explore Comox Bay, or head to the end of Goose Spit for some great sandy beaches.
Ocean Kayaking

- Union Bay Boat Launch
As you enter Union Bay, you can’t miss the boat launch - End of Argyle Road

Comox Lake
Comox Lake is a great place to kayak for both beginners and seasoned kayakers. Simply head into Cumberland and follow the signs to the lake. You can’t miss the boat launch.
