About our Rating System

Our rating and review system is relatively simple. Anyone can rate or review just about anything specific to the Comox Valley. You can rate restaurants, hotels, even recreation hot spots. Let us know your opinion and we will post it on our site. Many areas of the site already have "Review" links posted, but if you find an establishment you would like to rate that does not yet have the review link you are welcomed to do so. Simply visit the Comox Valley Ratings page and give us your thoughts.

You can even rate businesses etc, that are not yet listed on this site. If we find the establishment is relevant to the site we will post it right away, if we find the site is simply not set up for the specific area we will put it in our reserves for future addition.

We offer a rating system out of 5 stars, 1 being the lowest, 5 being the highest. You will also be given an opportunity to provide us with a written review of your thoughts. Negative reviews are not only accepted, they are welcomed as we strive to give readers the most accurate representation possible. While we accept negative reviews, we do have some guidelines:

Review Guidelines

If you would like us to post your review there are a few rules. Reviews, while they may be negative, must be constructive. Instead of saying "their pizza sucks", state why it "sucks". "The crust was a bit doughy", "Not enough cheese", "Toppings were skimpy", "Overall poor taste." By giving specifics not only does it offer insight, it helps to display an honest portrayal. Mean spirited reviews will not be posted.

We also reserve the right to refuse posting any review for any reason. We may also edit reviews for the purposes of spelling correction only.

Do you own a Business that has been rated?

You can reply to your ratings. If someone has given a low rating or review of your business you are more than welcome to send us your rebuttal. While negative reviews will not be removed, you may respond and tell your side of the story.
