Comox Valley Food Bank Closes
It's been 20 years since the doors to the Comox Valley Food Bank have been closed, but the time has come and at least temporarily, the Food Bank is closed. Labels: business
The closure comes after a rental increase of roughly 30% to $1400 per month. The Food Bank had expressed interest in renting another location at $1700 per month indicating that the issue with the current location was most likely not about money.
The main reason for the temporary closure and moving, according to manager Jeff Hampton, was that they were unhappy with the current building and were unable to come to an agreement with the landlord over a new lease.
