Comox Valley Lunar Eclipse

Set your alarm clock bright and early, a full lunar eclipse is expected in the Valley next week.

Between 2:52 and 4:22 am on August 28 a lunar eclipse, expected to last around 90 minutes will turn the moon to a sunset red. It is expected that for those viewing in the Valley the entire event should be visible.

According to local astronomy buff John McKee said one of the best spots to view the event is out at Point Holmes due to low light pollution.

You can learn more about this eclipse at NASA's website.
