Comox Valley Hands on Farm

The Hands On Farm is a farm yard petting zoo located in the Upper Meadow of Filberg Park, and operated by the Town of Comox Recreation Department.

Farm animals are housed in the barn and graze in the corrals which are open to the public. This year’s animals will include pigs, goats, a calf, lambs, a donkey, kittens, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks and chickens. The public is welcome to visit daily from 10am to 4pm. Children from 1 – 101 are encouraged to visit the farm and talk, walk and squawk with the animals.

A small admission ($2/person or $1 for those 5 and under) is charged to help offset the cost of housing the animals. A hand wash station is located inside the barn for visitors’ convenience and we encourage everyone to wash their hands after visiting any animal.

Any donations received go towards the feeding of and caring for our animals and are greatly appreciated. The Hands on Farm also accepts donations of animal feed, including vegetable scraps. Most of their animals enjoy carrot tops, lettuce, corn husks and apples. Guinea pigs LOVE peppers!

Enjoy your visit!
