"Service was quite good, however the food was another matter. One of our group had the seafood chowder which looked really good, thick and creamy, however, he commented that it should have been called a mushroom chowder because there was a noticable lack of seafood. Another member of our group had the lamb sirloin that was so encrusted with peppercorns that you couldn't taste the meat. I tried and she was right! I ordered the veal schnitzel which was so dry and over cooked that I couldn't eat it. A member of our party also tried a piece and commented that he thought it tasted as though it had been deep fried. At the end of our meal our sever asked me if I wanted the veal wrapped to take home, I declined, suggesting the appropriate place was in the trashand explained why. She was very polite and courteous and subsequently deducted the chowder and the schnitzel from our tab. A kind gesture, unfortunately it didn't really compensate for that fact that we were looking forward to tasteful dinner and an otherwise enjoyable evening out. It will definitely be a long time before I return. There are far too many other places in the Comox Valley where one can get a good meal."
