The Comox Valley consists of three major cities/towns. Courtenay, Comox, and the Village of Cumberland. There are also a number of outlying communities including Black Creek, Merville, Royston, Buckley Bay, Fanny Bay, Union Bay, Denman and Hornby Islands and Lazo.
