The Comox Valley Food Bank is in desperate need for donations this month as shelves and freezers are at incredibly low levels.
The Comox Valley Record reported today that they are down to as little as a shopping cart of cand goods, one bag of sugar and three jars of peanut butter for example. The food bank is also in dire need of staples including laundry soap, toilet paper, feminine hygiene products, sugar, coffee, cereal and peanut butter.
The food bank is open Monday to Wednesday, and Fridays, 8am till noon, and Thursdays from 10am till 2.

How may I be of help to you? I now live in \courtenay and would like to give to my community. Please get back to me with any comments. I am an old age person, but that does not stop me from doing things.
Hi Robert,
I am a little confused about your question. Are you asking how you can help me (as in comoxvalleyguide.com) or how you can help the community?
Investors Group in Courtenay and Campbell River are looking for volunteers to assist with the Harvest the Valley and Harvest the River – Food-raisers for the Food banks. Please see the blog for more details.
